St. Francis Track & Field opens season at Robert Wainman Frosh-Soph Meet at Iroquois High School

The St. Francis Track & Field team opened its 2025 season with it’s
young athletes competing at the Robert Wainman Frosh-Soph Meet held at
Iroquois High School on April 4th. The cool weather did not deter the
young Red Raiders who won 3 events led by Frosh Mason Mitchell who won
the 100, 200 & was the first leg of the winning 4 x 100 relay teaming
with Ken Litzinger, Dami’on McGrier and Thomas Reaska.
Meet Summary
 Mason Mitchell wins the 100m with a big effort of 11.28 in his first race
as a Red Raider.
 Mason Mitchell earns his 2nd win Friday Night running a time of 22.83.
Kenny Litzinger 4th after stumbling out of the blocks and Dami’on McGrier
placed 6th in the event.
 4 x 100 relay of Mitchell, Litzinger, McGrier & fellow frosh Thomas Reaska
win the final race of the evening running a time of 47.80. 4 x 100 relay
of Jeremy Gauthier, Andre Amos, Sam Glauser & Cole Rodo place 3rd in the
relay event.
 Jeremy Gauthier overcame a stumble on the 2nd hurdle to place 2nd overall in
the 110 HH with a time of 18.80.
 Shepard Snyder places 2nd in the 400m running 56.04 in his first race of
the year. Thomas Reaska places 3rd overall in the event.
 Noah Violanti placed 2nd in the Shotput throwing 33-5.75 while Lo’Ren
Thompson placed 3rd in the event.
 Frosh Damon McGrier threw the discus 87’5 to place 2nd in the event
followed by Cameron Connolly (3 rd ) & Violanti (6 th ).
 4 x 800 relay of Aidan Pickard, Ian Snyder, Luke Wischmann, Anwar Musleh
placed 2nd overall in the event after winning heat 1 of 2.
 Ian Snyder went all out to run down a 3 rd place finish in the 3200m open
running a career best time of 11:31 and getting the place in the last few
strides.
 Frosh Jeremy Gauthier clears 5’6 to place 3rd in the High Jump and Qualify
for the All Catholic with his best effort.
 Cole Rodo had a best jump of 34’7 to place 3rd overall in the Triple Jump.
Luke Anderson placed 6 th in the event.
 4 x 400 relay of Thomas Reaska, Bray Babich, Evan Frascella & Shepard
Snyder ran 4:03 to place 3rd in the relay event. 4 x 400 relay of Michael
Morgan, Luke Anderson, Elijah Clark & Aidan Pickard placed 4th after
winning heat 1.
St. Francis Track & Field takes on St. Mary’s & GOW in MMHSAA
