St. Francis Track & Field places 2nd out of 20 teams at the Trojan Invite April 12th at Attica High School

The St. Francis Track & Field team placed 2nd out of 20 teams at the Trojan Invitational hosted by Alexander High School at Attica High School.
Senior Nate Powers was the teams leading scorer as he won 110HH and placed 2nd in the Pole Vault. Fellow Senior Mike Stadler ran a strong 800m to win the event while Sophomore Kaiden Wright won the Long Jump eclipsing the 20 foot mark for the first time. St. Francis won 4 events total and saw numerous athletes work through cold & damp conditions at Attica High School to improve early in the 2025 season.

Meet Summary

• Nate Powers is clean going over the 110 HH and takes the lead late to win the event in a time of 16.32 a PR for the senior. Frosh Jeremy Gauthier overcame his rough 6th hurdle to place 4th in the event.

• Kaiden Wright wins long jump eclipsing the 20 foot mark in competition for the first time in his career. He also 4th in the 100m with a 11.96. Dominic Davis jumps 18’9.5 in his debut for the 2025 season.

• Mike Stadler took the lead and never looked back winning the 800m in a well contested open 800m with a time of 2:00.72. Brayden Mahoney also ran a solid time of 2:05.15 to place 3rd in the event.

• 4 x 400 relay of Brayden Mahoney, Dalton Pelow, Dominic Davis and Mike Stadler won the event in convincing fashion with a winning time of 3:33.28.

• Nate Powers places 2nd in the Pole Vault clearing 12-0 and missing first on misses. Nate scores 18 team points to lead the Red Raiders on Saturday.

• 4 x 100 relay of Sam Skalski, Shepard Snyder, Dalton Pelow and Kaiden Wright run 47.48 to place 2nd in the relay event.

• Dalton Pelow ran a season best time of 52.86 also a PR to place 3rd in the open 400m.

• Frosh Ken Litzinger placed 3rd in the open 200m running a time of 24.29. Sophomore Shepard Snyder placed 6th in the open 200m.

• Frosh Soph Sprint Medley of Aiden Pickard, Thomas Reaska, Ken Litzinger & Shepard Snyder ran 4:11.81 to place 3rd in the relay event.

• 4 x 800 relay of Tom Pivarunas, Aidan Wallace, Isaac Snyder and Mike Stadler ran 9:31.53 to place 4th in the relay event.

• Dominic Davis cleared 5’4 in the high jump to tie for 5th in the event. His mark is a qualifier for the All Catholic.

• Colton Warner’s best discus throw of 128’6 placed him 6th in the open event Saturday.

St. Francis Track & Field travels to Webster High School to compete at the Webster Invite Saturday April 19th starting at 10am.
